Dragonflies are beautiful as they fly by. They represent illusion and change. The dragonfly inhabits both air and water. Its wings reflect and refract light, showing us that life may not be what we think, take another look through the illusions.
Attract Dragonflies
Legend How Dragonfly was born
According to legend dragonfly was born from dragon. The legend goes like this. Dragon had scales like Dragonfly’s wings. Coyote tricked dragon into changing form, and it’s shape became dragonfly.
Quotes and Poems
“Time is for dragonflies and angels. The former live too little and the latter live too long.” — James Thurber
The Dragon-fly
By Alfred Lord Tennyson
Today I saw the dragon-fly
Come from the wells where he did lie.
An inner impulse rent the veil
Of his old husk: from head to tail
Came out clear plates of sapphire mail.
He dried his wings: like gauze they grew;
Thro’ crofts and pastures wet with dew
A living flash of light he flew.
The Dragonfly
By Louise Bogan
You are made of almost nothing
But of enough
To be great eyes
And diaphanous double vans;
To be ceaseless movement,
Unending hunger
Grappling love.
Link between water and air,
Earth repels you.
Light touches you only to shift into iridescence
Upon your body and wings.
Twice-born, predator,
You split into the heat.
Swift beyond calculation or capture
You dart into the shadow
Which consumes you.
You rocket into the day.
But at last, when the wind flattens the grasses,
For you, the design and purpose stop.
And you fall
With the other husks of summer.

Horses are known for stamina, mobility, freedom, power, love, devotion, and loyalty. They can provide help in coping under difficult circumstances.
“Horses lend us the wings we lack.” by Pam Brown
Horses originally resided in North American and then migrated to Asia via Bering land bridge, which later submerged, making it impossible for them to return. They disappeared for about 2000 years. Horses were then re-introduced to the North American plains by the Spanish. Today wild horses in North American can be found in Outer Banks area of North Carolina, Wyoming, California, Chincoteague Island, Virginia and Assateague Island, Maryland
“To these animals, the ability to intuit fear in a distant herd member and act on this feeling without hesitation is a lifesaving skill. Their innate aptitude for resonating with another being’s trust, joy, or confidence is a life enhancing skill.” by Linda Kohanov
Equine Therapy
This marvelous experience is a unique way to promote emotional growth. Horses have no expectations and respond to your requests. The horse also makes the person aware of their internal emotional state as the horse responds to them. This is also a great way to find congruency without rejection. As seen in the movie 28 days with Sandra Bullock, when she needed to lift the horse’s leg.
Learning to care and groom a horse requires patience, understanding, attention. Horses can sense indecision and hostility. I was able to participate in a 3 hour program. You had to be conscious of your thoughts. One event was to lead the horse by walking, no rope, just ensuring your were congruent in what you wanted to achieve.
Story of Dreamwalker
Wind Horse
Da naho… It is said,
Wind Horse, gentle Wind horse, you were the last of your kind.
Wind Horse, Wind Horse, you were running wild and free.
Wind Horse, Wind Horse, with this freedom you did nothing but give;
When one called for help you carried them to safety,
No enemy did you have.
Da naho… It is said,
Wind Horse, Wind Horse, you gave your life one day
To a boy with no leg.
Wind Horse, Wind Horse, you gave him your endless love.
Wind Horse, Wind Horse, you now run in the Great Hunting Grounds;
Giving joy to those there, as you did here.
Da naho… It is said,
Wind Horse, Wind Horse, your life was not the last gift
You gave the People.
Wind Horse, Wind Horse, you prayed for us, you wished a wish for us.
Wind Horse, Wind Horse, we remember you through your brother Horse.
Wi: yo: h … It is good.
Wind Horse, Wind Horse, we see you still.

This is national nurse week. So go out and appreciate the nurses in your life.
Having a sister who has over 30 years experience in the nurse field and still LOVES her job, I came to appreciate nurses even more. She took my calls each time when I needed advise on what to do with my children. She’s driven through snowstorms, thunderstorms to do her job at the hospital, knowing that the current nurses on the job needed relief.
I also want to thank the nurses that personally had to deal with me. I do not like needles and faint rather easily. Thanks for listening to me and helping me through these events.
Nurses deserve our appreciation
They work under a lot of stress
On this there is no speculation
They are the best of the best
The Doctor’s get all of the respect
While the Nurses work on the line
Nurses do what we’ve come to expect
They’re really one of a kind
They nurse our aches and pains
Administer treatment and medication
And then the nurse patiently explains
Alternatives and expectations
Thank a Nurse whenever you can
You will need a Nurse one day
I am the Nurses biggest fan
And that’s all I have to say

Do One Thing and we can create change. The earth relies on each one of us. Today is Earth Day, what will you do to help? Just one change makes a difference.

Plant more trees & flowers to help balance the air. Carbon Based figures now outweigh the plant based, thereby causing our air to be out of balance. The plants consume what we exhale. And we inhale what the plants exhale. Help bring this back into balance.
Use more earth friendly produ
cts in your yard. You can kill weeds with water & vinegar, instead of using a chemical weed killer. Mix 1/4 vinegar with 3/4 water. Spray on dry weed on a hot sunny day. The sun will interact with the vinegar killing the roots of the weed. Or you can buy the finished product.

Water – put out some pots or cans to collect rainwater and use that water to water your plants and/or vegetables. Or you can buy a rain barrel, which collects water from your gutters. If you want to do more, you can put in a grey water system, which collects “grey” water from your house pipes.
Remove mosquitoes using earth friendly products. Use some of the following plants in a planter that is stationed where you sit. These plants naturally repel mosquitoes. Basil, rosemary, citronella, lemongrass

Lavender has a fresh, sweet, floral, herbaceous aroma that is soothing and refreshing. Lavender can assist the body when adapting to stress or imbalances. It is a great aid for relaxing and winding down before bedtime, yet has balancing properties that can also boost stamina and energy. It may be used to soothe and cleanse common cuts, bruises, and skin irritations. Lavender may also be used to enhance the flavor of foods.
